A Fun environment for dogs

Our space will help ignite your dog's senses.

We have purposely created a natural, large organic environment to stimulate your dog with long grass and short grass so your dog can run free and explore.

You won't find any fixed equipment, but you are welcome to bring things for your dog to play with.

We have worked with a local ecologist and dog trainer, Emma Pilgrim, and will be adding some natural elements over the coming years to provide additional interest whilst also enhancing the environment.

Terms & Conditions

Dogs and humans

  • You agree to use Westy & Worzel’s secure dog exercise field at your own risk and will not hold the owners, or staff, responsible for any injury to you or your dogs.
  • The park is a 5-acre site with some uneven ground, long grass, water and other potential obstacles. The ground may become slippery when wet.
  • Whilst there are large fences we cannot guarantee there will be no other wildlife in the field. Care should be taken as you would in any countryside location. Ticks may be present and we recommend you regularly check your dog for ticks including when you get home from the dog field.
  • If you bring family, friends and children, you agree to take full responsibility for their safety, ensuring that they too abide by the terms and conditions. You are welcome to bring children, but they must be supervised at all times. Any obstacles or amenities provided are not to be used as a children’s play park and we are not responsible for any injuries associated with children using our facility.

Using the park

Opening hours are 7am to 7pm Mon - Fri and 9am to 6pm Sat and Sun

  • You must leave the field promptly BEFORE the end of your session, to allow the next booking to enter on time. Should you leave the field late we reserve the right to disallow future bookings.
  • We are in the middle of the countryside and access is by narrow roads where you’ll frequently find tractors and even cows crossing, so please leave enough time to arrive at your booked slot. We cannot simply adjust time slots if you arrive late.
  • You may bring a maximum of 6 dogs to the field as per your booking.  Under no circumstances should you bring more dogs than you have booked for.
  • Should you wish to book the field for any other purpose, greater number of dogs, extended time periods or commercial activities then please contact us and we will do our best to accommodate you.
  • Do not let any other strangers or dogs into the field.
  • It is your responsibility to pick up all your dog’s waste and any rubbish and dispose of it responsibly – removing your own waste from the site helps us to keep our costs and charges down.
  • You agree to close all gates behind you to ensure the field remains a secure and safe place for dogs.
  • There are no lights in the field, or on the access path, so we recommend bringing a torch and lights for your dog if your session is in the dark.
  • Fresh water is provided but please bring your own bowl.

The site

  • The dog field is part of a working organic farm and we aim to manage for biodiversity as well as amenity use.  We ask you to consider your use of insecticides on your dogs and are always happy to discuss our experience of alternatives.  Our animals do not graze this field.
  • There is no dedicated parking, and you must park on the road and walk the short distance along a public bridleway to access the secure field.  Please recognise that this may mean that the dog field is not suitable for all dogs.
  • There are no staff on site. This is a self-managed booking. You will receive a code for a padlock to allow entry. Under no circumstances are you permitted to pass this code to anyone else or to use it to access the field outside of your booking.

The fence

  • The fence is to an approximate height of 180cm (6 feet) and the gaps in netting are approximately 15cm x 7cm at the base.  We regularly inspect the perimeter and fence to ensure, to the best of our ability, that it is a safe place for your dog to be let off the lead.
  • You agree to notify us as soon as possible if you identify anything that you feel makes the field insecure.
  • We cannot accept any responsibility for any dogs escaping the field.

Changing your booking

  • All bookings must be paid for in advance.
  • We operate a 48-hour cancellation policy. Unfortunately, cancellations made within 48 hours of the appointment will not be refunded.
